Maury County Master Gardener's Annual Vegetable Seed Planting Class

President James K. Polk Historical Kitchen Garden

Saturday, May 2, 2026  / 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Weather permitting.

Classes include proper seed planting techniques and demonstrations for Heirloom Seeds - Corn, Runner/Pole Beans, Squash, Field Pumpkins, Pumpkin Squash, Cucumbers, Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, and Okra. 


We will also be learning about trap and repellant plant strategies, companion plants, and succession planting.

Restrooms available on site. Bring chair if needed, as well as hydration.
