About the event

Cierra Edwards has arranged a workshop with the kindergarten teachers at Randolph Howell Elementary School in Columbia. She needs up to 12 members to volunteer to help her with the project. The time spent counts as volunteer service hours.

I'll let her explain in her own words:

I’m calling this activity a “terrarium” workshop but it’s truly just a succulent planter. Teachers have purchased jars or clear cups to place the succulents in. I’ll have handouts that will show each layer that will be added to the “terrarium” and will direct the classes/teachers/volunteers through each step. My hope is to correlate earth’s layers to the layers in their terrarium and to also talk about why each item we add is important to the planter. We’ll see. It may lean heavily on…
