About the event
The meeting starts with a potluck, followed by a short business meeting and a presentation by Marla Killen.
Marla has always loved to garden. Thirty-five years ago, she planted her first vegetable garden at her new home. That’s where her gardening obsession began, and every year since she has added new plants, shrubs, and trees to the landscape.
She loves to share what she has learned with her fellow gardeners. Over the past few years, she has appeared on NPT’s Volunteer Gardener showcasing her Barn Garden, hypertufa, backyard hardscapes, winter sowing, and creative water features.
The meeting is preceded by an optional Seed Packing session to help separate and package seeds for the Polk Home starting at 5:00 PM.
The Maury County Master Gardeners meet the Third Tuesday of January, February, March, April, August, September, October, and November.
Visitors are always welcome.
